The South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust has purchased an Agfa Radiology Solutions VALORY™ Floor mounted X-ray room for its Leamington Spa Hospital. The new X-ray room was installed in January 2026, in the hospital’s Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), which offers neuro rehabilitation to adults following brain injuries.
The VALORY™ Floor X-ray room was chosen for its convenient, compact size and high image quality. Agfa configured the room layout based on the limited space available, incorporating a wheeled, powered trolley for imaging patients with different levels of mobility.
Key highlights:
“We chose to work with Agfa not only for their proven track record in delivering high-quality, cost-effective X-ray equipment, but also for their ability to design a bespoke room configuration. This tailored approach enables us to provide accessible imaging services for all patients at CERU and across the wider community,” says James Oughton, Plain Film Clinical Lead and MSK Reporting Radiographer, South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust.
“We are pleased that South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust selected the VALORY™ Floor X-ray system for its Leamington Spa Hospital. The limited space available posed a particular challenge for the hospital. Thanks to the flexibility of the modular VALORY™ design, our team was able to configure a layout that maximizes the space, while ensuring that all patients, regardless of their level of mobility, have access to high-quality imaging,” says Joshua Akin-George, Sales Leader Europe North, Agfa Radiology Solutions.
