At RSNA 2025, Agfa Radiology Solutions unveils MUSICA Xpert™, elevating AI-empowered X-ray imaging.

Agfa Radiology Solutions announces the demonstration of MUSICA Xpert™[1], the latest evolution of its leading MUSICA® image processing platform. Designed in collaboration with radiologists worldwide, MUSICA Xpert™ leverages innovative technology to deliver unmatched image clarity, customized processing preferences, and grid-free scatter reduction – advancing confident diagnoses and workflow efficiency.

Key Highlights:

  • Personalized image processing: MUSICA Xpert™ integrates three distinct processing models, enabling large and diverse radiology teams to apply individual reading preferences with one click – from the most progressive to the most conservative.
  • AI-driven enhancement: A deep learning model analyzes pixel content to adjust processing dynamically, resulting in consistent quality across patient types and anatomies.
  • Excellent scatter reduction: With improved scatter reduction, MUSICA Xpert™ supports “first-time-right” imaging without the need for anti-scatter grids—especially beneficial for chest and musculoskeletal exams.
  • Proven preference: In a controlled blind study with 17 participating radiologists, 80% preferred MUSICA Xpert™ images over standard processing for musculoskeletal and thorax exams.

“MUSICA Xpert™ is the result of close collaboration with radiologists across the globe”, says Paul Danini, Global Software Marketing Manager of Agfa Radiology Solutions. “We’ve taken their feedback to design an easy adaptable, precise, and efficient tool that enhances their diagnostic confidence, no matter the context.”

At the cutting edge of image processing innovation

Built upon Agfa’s patented MUSICA® technology, MUSICA Xpert™ integrates mathematical models with AI to deliver superior image fidelity aligned with radiologist preferences—further simplifying workflow while boosting diagnostic accuracy.

Visitors to RSNA 2025 are invited to experience the new MUSICA Xpert™ firsthand at Agfa’s booth: November 30 to December 3, McCormick Place, Chicago, South Hall, booth #2565.
