Invitation to Participate in RadX: A National Case Competition in Radiology Administration
Dear Educator,
Agfa Radiology Solutions, AHRA, and Cleveland Clinic are pleased to invite students to participate in RadX: the first national case competition dedicated to radiology administration!
Why a case competition?
Case competitions are widely recognized across academic disciplines for their ability to enhance a curriculum through experiential learning. RadX offers your students a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to a real-world challenge in radiology administration from Cleveland Clinic. Participation can serve as a powerful capstone experience and a valuable addition to students’ resumes, showcasing their leadership, analytical, and presentation skills.
Eligibility
RadX is open to students currently enrolled in AS to BS Radiology Administration programs. Teams must consist of 3 to 5 students. Programs can enter only one team.
Program overview
Student teams will receive a detailed case study developed by Cleveland Clinic, addressing a current issue in radiology administration—such as AI adoption, productivity benchmarking, capital budgeting, dose management, staffing, or imaging operations.
Teams will have 2 weeks to analyze the case, develop a solution, and prepare the following deliverables:
- Executive summary
- Slide deck
- 10–15 minute virtual presentation
Key Dates
- February 27, 2026 – Registration deadline.
- March 30, 2026 – Case study delivered to instructors to distribute to student teams.
- April 10, 2026, 5 PM ET – Submission deadline for teams to submit executive summary and slide deck.
- April 13–17, 2026 – Virtual presentations to judging panel.
- April 20, 2026 – Notification of winning team and all participants.
- May 30, 2026 – Schools receive anonymized performance feedback and curriculum integration report.
Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated by industry experts from AHRA, Agfa Radiology Solutions, and Cleveland Clinic based on the following criteria:
- Problem Definition & Prioritization: 15 pts
- Root Cause Analysis and Context: 10 pts
- Proposed Solution & Leadership Approach: 15 pts
- Expected Impact & Metrics: 10 pts
- 90 Day Implementation Plan: 15 pts
- Presentation Quality: 15 pts
- Q&A (Oral Defense): 20 pts
- TOTAL: 100 pts
Awards, & Recognition
RadX is open to students currently enrolled in AS to BS Radiology Administration programs. Teams must consist of 3 to 5 students.
The winning team will receive:
- $2,000 cash prize to be shared among team members (courtesy of Agfa Radiology Solutions).
- Expense-paid trip to AHRA 2026 (airfare, hotels, meals, and conference registration courtesy of Agfa Radiology Solutions).
- Exhibit Hall passes from AHRA to the AHRA 2026 Annual Meeting.
- Invitation to present their case in the Exhibit Hall Theater at the AHRA 2026 Annual Meeting.
- AHRA student memberships.
The winning team will agree to:
- Provide input and agree to be featured in marketing materials developed and distributed by Agfa Radiology Solutions and AHRA.
By entering, all participants agree to:
- Share contact information with Agfa Radiology Solutions and AHRA.
- Allow recordings of their presentations to be shared with other participants for educational purposes.
