Developing the Next Generation of Radiology Administrators

The winning team members from Mercy College are:

  • Julie Robinson R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT)
  • Carol Everett, B.S. Medical Imaging, R.T.(R)(CT)(MR)(ARRT), MRSO (MRSC™)
  • Lauren L. Truesdale, B.S. Medical Imaging, RDCS (AE), RVT, RPhS, CET

Participating in the RadX competition gave our students a unique opportunity to apply their knowledge in a real-world, high-level context. Their recognition as the winning team reflects their ability to think critically, collaborate effectively, and propose innovative solutions to industry leaders. Experiences like this provide authentic learning opportunities that are essential in preparing students for the evolving demands of medical imaging leadership,” said Dana R. Eskins, Ed.D., R.T(R)(CT), RDMS, Director of Imaging Sciences, Program Director, B.S. Medical Imaging, and Associate Professor at Mercy College of Ohio.

“Each team worked through a complex operational case, defended their choices under live questioning, and left with detailed feedback they can carry forward into their careers. It shows students what they’re capable of when the stakes feel real,” says Jordan Hermiller, MHA, R.T.(R)(QM), CPHQ, Technical Manager for North America at Agfa Radiology Solutions.

“The future of radiology is something we shape together – that’s the idea behind RadX, and why Agfa is fully committed to it. The Mercy College team set a high bar this year, with analysis that would hold its own at any executive table. These leaders aren’t waiting for tomorrow – they’re already here, and we’re building what comes next with them,” says François Verdeaux, President of Agfa Radiology.
